# Job Context

As a Captain at ADNOC Marine, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient navigation and operation of marine vessels, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. # Job Rsponsibilities

Safe Navigation: Take command of the vessel during all phases of operation, including maneuvering, docking, and anchoring, ensuring the safety of the vessel, crew, cargo, and the environment.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable international, national, and company regulations and standards governing marine operations, including safety, environmental protection, and security.

Voyage Planning: Develop comprehensive voyage plans, taking into account factors such as weather, sea conditions, traffic, and cargo requirements, to ensure efficient and safe passage.

Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the vessel's crew, fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork. Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, promoting a collaborative and productive working environment.

Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond effectively to emergencies and crisis situations, including search and rescue operations, firefighting, medical emergencies, and pollution incidents, ensuring the safety of personnel and the protection of assets.

Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with shore-based personnel, other vessels, port authorities, and relevant stakeholders, ensuring smooth coordination of operations and timely reporting of incidents or changes in circumstances.

Maintenance and Inspections: Oversee routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of the vessel, ensuring that all equipment and systems are in good working condition and comply with regulatory requirements.

Training and Development: Provide training, guidance, and support to junior officers and crew members, helping them develop their skills and competencies to advance their careers within the company.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and logs of all operations, including navigation, cargo handling, safety drills, maintenance activities, and crew performance, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.

Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients, customers, and other stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience and representing the company's values and reputation.

# Educational Requirements
  • Valid Master Mariner license (STCW II/2) or equivalent certification.

Extensive experience as a Captain or senior officer on marine vessels, preferably in the offshore oil and gas industry.

In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations, industry best practices, and safety standards.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations.

Proficiency in using navigational and communication equipment, electronic charting systems, and other relevant technology.

Physical fitness and the ability to work in challenging environmental conditions for extended periods.
